How do you indentfy the pattern and value of antique porcelain?
My husband has some old porcelain and china pieces that we need to identify. He has a late 1800s wedgwood platter. Ugliest thing I ever saw, but it might be valuable. It has a torquoise basketweave background with fruits on it. It is a raised pattern, not painted. Also, three plates of a set, each with a different design of the same flower, a rhododenren, these have numbers on bottom, but what I think is the name stamped into the plate is filled in with glaze and can not be read. Late, I have a platter, it is not old but has the name 1899 China Company painted/decaled? on back and I can’t find anything about that company. Any suggestions?
