Small Holes Appearing in Wall?
I live in an old house (over 150 years old).
This spring small holes started appearing in my upstairs walls.
The walls upstairs are plaster.
They look like small nail holes at first, but some of the bigger ones are easy to see they aren’t nail holes (and in addition… I haven’t used any nails recently).
They seem to be multiplying everyday…
Also, there have been some small spiders…
They are dark brown, almost black.
They move quickly and jump away when you try to kill them.
I haven’t seen them go in or out of the holes – but it’s strange both things started appearing this spring.
Any ideas?
We’re going to set off a bug bomb in a couple days to see if it will help at all…
I don’t think those are spiders if they are eating through your wall. These are termites! Terrible little bugs that look almost ant like. I’ve had them in my house chewing up a wall. I solved my problem by drilling in holes in the areas they were eating up and shooting in termite killer into the wall. Problem solved now for 2 years.
