How do I measure clear plastic photo or scrapbook inserts?
Hi, I am making cookbooks for my family for Christmas, and I need to purchase more of the clear plastic inserts. The ones that I have, measure 91/2 x 11 (top to bottom and side to side) When ordering more, do I order that size, or do I measure from the perforated line (past the metal rings? I cannot seem to find 91/2 x 11. The standard size seems to be 81/2 x 11. Also, any ideas where to purchase them online or elsewhere? Please Help!!!!!!!!!!
Unless you know the brand of the protectors you are using, I would take one into a craft store and match it up. Page protectors are going to be bigger than 8.5×11 because that is the size of paper that fits inside. You need to leave room for the protector to go on the spine of the album, which is why you are getting the 9.5. You need to make sure the holes line up too. Some have 3 holes, some have 2.
You can take all the page protectors you have and put them all into one album, then buy new page protectors for the other albums you are making.
But I either buy a name brand album, like Pioneer, so I know what extra pages to buy or take one of the pages with me.
