Can i heat polycarbonate tea light candle holders in the oven?
Im making gel tea lights and several candle making websites have suggested that you can warm the candle containers in the oven on a very low heat before pouring the gel to reduce bubbles and i want to know if this applies to glass containers only or if i can use this technique with my polycarbonate containers too?
Pretty sure they mean glass. Put a large metal cookie sheet or a cast iron pan ( anything with a a lot of metal ) in the oven at the temperature suggested. Take it out of the oven and try a holder on the metal, if it melts or even gets soft scrap the idea and go with glass.
