What pre-loaded ware needs to be removed from a Toshiba Satelite w/AMD Turion dual core, 3GB, 250HD?
I recently purchased a Toshiba Satelite laptop and Best Buy wanted me to have the Geek Squad remove the preloaded ware that is not necessary. I declined that due to the expense. How difficult is it to remove the unnecessary programs and what are they? It came with Vista Premium.
Also, how well does the older versions of MS Office Suite perform with Vista? I heard there were issues.
Any help would be appreciated.
My older version of MS office works great with my Vista.As a matter of fact I like it better than the 2007 version.If u want to take the unnecessary stuff off just go to add/remove programs and select uninstall. Best Buy is just trying to make every dime they can off of you.I wouldn’t even worry about it unless it has bothersome pop ups.If you just want to get rid of the advertising shortcuts on the desk top simply right click and select delete.
