i want pepper infused oil for popcorn but can only find olive oil. wont the olive oil overpower flavor of popc?
any idea how to make your own flavored popcorn oil
Just do like you would with Chinese cooking.. get some dry peppers ( available in chinese stores) and get your oil hot in a wok or skillet, and drop the peppers in to the HOT oil. Stir around until they start to darken, scoop them out with a slotted spoon and discard. your oil will now be spicy.
Do not try this with fresh peppers, you will create a tear gas and every one in the house will be choking.
