It’s been 14 months since I got my belly button pierced and it hasn’t healed yet?
Right now it doesn’t hurt and is more flexible than before, but I have a little white opaque discharge? Sometimes the ring will get crusty so I wash it off with soap and water when I shower. But sometimes when I wear pants that are high, they put pressure on the piercing and causes it to become red and maybe bleed a little. But that usually clears up in a few days.
Is there a reason my piercing is taking so long to heal? Is it infected? And could I change the ring now, or should I wait longer? If longer, when would I know it’s ready?

Your body is just more reactive to the metal than most people and that is why it is taking so long to heal. It doesn’t sound like it is infected. I would wait till it is completely healed (no discharge and the ring doesnt hurt you when you move it) before switching out belly button rings. Mine took about 19 months to heal fully and I have to disinfect rings in Hydrogen Peroxide before putting a different one in or I will get an infection.
