What is a good recipe for making rock candy?
Any good recipes out there for making rock candy. I have to make a good amount for my students, and I want to do a test batch this week. How do you flavor it? Can I use extracts? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
What you need:
4cups sugar
2cups water
in a sauce pan heat the water until it is boiling then and add the sugar and stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar is dissolved and the water is at a roaring boil. Then carefully pour it into a glass jar ( i always use an old honey jar) Then get a pencil and hang a few pieces of string from it with a weight on the end. Then place the pencil on top of the jar with the strings inside and let sit for a few days. You will start to see all of the crystals reform.
