Can apple sauce be subsituted for oil in brownies?
I read this somewhere, but am not sure what the ratio apple sauce to vegetable oil is. I thought about trying it out.
Yes. I substitute with applesauce in baking whenever it calls for oil. Even in boxed cakes. it comes out just as moist or even more so with the apple sauce. I have even used canned pumpkin if I don’t have applesauce a round.
