Hot oil melted my plastic measurement cup. Is oil safe to use?
I’m thinking maybe it is unsafe to use the oil because the plastic cup melted a little.
Am I just being paranoid or is the hot oil still safe to use.
I don’t have more oil and it s not an option to go buy more (no car)

Yes, the oil is still safe to use. It is doubtful it was hot enough to liquefy the plastic completely, it likely just melted the plastic in on itself, so all of the plastic is still in your measuring cup, just re-arranged.
In the future, only put hot materials such as oil, butter and other fats that can go above boiling temperature into plastic utensils. Use heat-safe products such as a pyrex measuring cup instead.
