Can pure peppermint oil be used orally?
I’m suffering from IBS and have really bad cramps almost daily. I heard peppermint oil is meant to help. Can anyone tell me if i can use pure peppermint oil orally and if so how many drops do i put into a glass of water? It doesn’t give any instructions on the label. Help!
- Dilute 2 drops of peppermint essential oil in a teaspoon of honey, then pour on this half a glass of hot water.
- or 1 drop of peppermint oil in a glass of cool water.
