I am being sued for 5 yr. old credit cards. My only income is social security disability What can I do?
I’ve had several heart attacks and bypass surgery, diabetes, perforated colon. What will happen if they issue a judgment? I have no assets.
I have no assets. I live in Missouri, we have no legal aid to help with credit card debt. These are junk debt buyers that are after me we go to trial 10/14 because I refused to admit the debt.
I was recently sued on a ten year old credit card debt. I filed an answer with the courthouse and my case was dismissed based on the expired Statute of Limitations. I purchased an answer template from http://www.howtoansweracreditcarddebtlawsuit.com and in their ebook package where they tell you how to fill out their forms, there was a section that mentioned an exemption of assets form that wasn’t included in the package but could be found by googling “Declaration of Exempt Income and Assets”. I believe it said that even if a judgement is entered against you, they cannot garnish social security or diability income, so I hope that puts your mind at ease. These companies are really horrid, it makes me sick. Good luck to you.
