Weight Loss:
Coconut oil stimulates the thyroid gland which boosts the body’s metabolic rate. This results in an increased calorie burn which helps in burning fat. It is sent directly from the small intestine to the liver, where it is immediately converted to energy, none of which gets stored as fat.
Heart Diseases:
There is a misconception, believed by many people, that coconut oil is bad for the heart because it is a saturated fat, but the medium-chain triglycerides (MCT’s) present in coconut oil are not at all harmful. Lauric acid, and its derivative monolaurin, support the immune system and dampen or prevent toxic and allergic reactions to pathogens like HIV, Herpes, and the flu.

Coconut oil is the best thing to apply to your body for a younger looking skin and is useful for skin complaints such as eczema. It also makes an exceptionally good hair conditioner and massage oil.
