Does an unclean RTV mold affect the quality of resin?
I’ve been recasting with the same molds over and over again because I can’t seem to have a perfect duplicate. The first time I’ve used the mold I got a really nice smooth surface but now after I’ve recasted and used the mold several times I seem to be getting a lot of air bubbles and the resulting product has a tacky surface (as if it was made of chalk)
I clean my molds with Tack Remover, I use an old toothbrush to get into the details and then wash it off with lukewarm water…is there a better way to clean my RTV molds?
I use silicone molds and all I have to do is wipe them with 200 proof alcohol.
