Are silicone cake pans safe to use?
I have a flower shaped silicone cake pan, but some people have told me that I shouldn’t use it because since silicone is still fairly new in the market, it’s best not to take the risk.
Is it true that it COULD be dangerous to use?
Absolutely. silicone used in baking isn’t as new as most people think, it’s just the bakeware that is farely new. for example, parchment paper is coated with silicone and people as been using it for YEARS! so go ahead and use it, i’ve been usuing it for quite sometime and nothing has ever happened to me or my family and i LOVE the bakeware…it makes everything sooo much easier.
