How to remove cupcakes that are sticking to the pan?
I just baked mini-muffins. I let them cool and now I’m trying to get them out of the pan but they are sticking to the non-stick pan. I tried using a small silicone spatula but it’s just taking all the tops off. Any ideas on how to loosen these? I overfilled the tin so the cupcakes have big tops. I’m not looking for tips on what to do next time–just how I can salvage these!
Get a plain flat knife without the sharp/serrated edges (a “butter” knife). Use it to scoot all the way around each muffin tin, and then just kind of slowly scrape it out of the bottom of the pan with the knife at an angle.
Been there.
If they get messed up – cake balls! (Crumbs mixed in with icing, rolled into one inch balls and dipped in melted chocolate.)
