Marina Lighthouse – Certified Feng Shui Practitioner
Marina Lighthouse belongs to the fourth stage Black Sect Tantric Feng Shui. She has adapted quickly to learning the many Chinese art and Philosophy. She owns a Los Altos based business know as Harmony in Your Enviroment, which aids people in applying feng shui into their lives. She considers feng shui to be an art of balanced living or the art of placement.
Marina Lighthouse was raised in Silicon Valley, California. Let me give you a background on how she became involved with feng shui. When she was very young, her father who is a native of Korcula, introduced her to Chinese history and philosophy. She learned the I Ching for a long time, as well as Buddhist, Taoist and Christian theology. She may not be Chinese but her heart and spirit is that of the East, which can be witnessed in her Asian-inspired home.
In 1991, the Shelter for the Soul Institute trained her in feng shui and in 1996 she became a certified practitioner. And then she trained under Grandmaster Lin Yun Rinpoche, founder of Black Sect Tantric Feng Shui. They teamed up in created the “Feng Shui Tune Up” CD, which was a result of a project that incorporated the theories of feng shui to create music. She enrolled in The Art of Placement mentorship course in 1998.
She has since then provided feng shui consultations to clients internationally. In 2001, she joined forces with a feng shui expert named Deborah Gee, who also owns Nine Star Productions. Their project was named “Creating Environments for Success and Well Being”, an educational TV show. The video easily captured the attention of many and it still airs until now in PBS.
Since then, a lot of corporations sought out the services of Marina Lighthouse. Among them include Mercedes-Benz, Hewlett-Packard, and Cisco Systems. She also became well-known in the academic society not only for the corporate people. At the UC Berkeley School of Architecture, she talks about the link between feng shui and architecture.
Master Lin Yun and her came up with another CD entitled “The Heart Sutra”. To help in the meditating process, it is composed of music and poetry. Heart Sutra is a division of Buddhism that focus on cleansing one’s self. Aside from this, Marina has also acquired the know-how in reading from the Chinese Oracle of Mah Jong.
Marina is sincere when it comes to helping other achieve personal and financial success. Marina likes to maintain a balance between her work and her private life. She said, “Life itself longs to be in balance”. Many deeply want to preserve harmony in their work and love life. The key is to listen deeply, take notice and be open to fine tuning that in one’s daily life.
