Yup, wedding favor advice?
These kinds of questions always scare me a little bit, but here goes. First off, even though almost all the guests are family, I don’t want to do something with our names or the date. The kids are all getting a coloring book I made and crayons to keep them occupied, the men are all getting a travel flashlight-I’m not too sure what it is, my fiance thought it was awesome. And here are the ideas for the women. Most of the women are in their 20s, with a few in the 40s and only a couple older than that
– Heart Cookie Cutter Set
– Mini Lily Frame
– Soap
– Candle
What would you rather get?
Of your list, I’d prefer to receive the candle. I love candles, so I am a bit biased.
Here’s why I say no to the others:
Heart cookie cutter set: Most pre-packaged favours are made of very low quality. They would most likely need to be discarded after the first use due to losing their shape or rusting.
Mini Lily Frame: I have a million mini frames. No pictures I have fit in them. This would end up in the trash, even if it were magnetic.
Soap: I’m allergic to a myriad of chemicals used in making scented soaps. I also doubt one scent is going to be well-received by everyone so there will be someone missing out on something because they’re trying to ignore the stench.
I haven’t selected the favors for my wedding yet, but if push comes to shove, we’re providing a candy bar for our guests to ravage at the end of the reception with little baggies to take the candies home. One wedding I went to recently gave out pretty little wedding cake shaped sugar cookies that the bride and groom made themselves a few days prior. Packaged neatly in plastic with their monogram sticker, most cookies were enjoyed before the cake was cut!
