Cost of living?
Hi, Im from South Africa and last night I had an argument with my family. They insist that the cost of living is much higher in other countries than it is her in SA. Please could give me costs of sum essential items in your area like:
- A Loaf of Bread
- A Litre of Milk
- A Litre of Petrol
- A Litre of Coca Cola
- A Bar of Soap
- A bag of Chips
And any other common stuff that you guys can think of
-a loaf of bread can be 2.00
-a litre of milk is around 2.50, maybe 3.00 depending on brand
-a litre of petrol isn’t even a gallon of gas. My country uses gallons so to fill up the average gas tank completely, can run upwards of $70- over $100 depending on what type of car you have
-a litre of Coke is a dollar or 2.
-bar of soap can be 2.00 or more depending on brand
- chips= price depends on brand but the good ones are usually 3.00 or 4.00
-any type of fruit is usually 2.00-3.00 depending on what it is
-butter can be close to 5.00
-some meat is 7.00 or more depending on the cut, but averages around 7.00
- Shaving razors for women can be aroudn 8.98. A single Schick Intuition razor is 8.98 while packages of 20 or 30 disposable razors are aroudn 2.00 or 3.00
-shampoo- depends on brand but sometimes its around 5.00 or 6.00
