The molds for your first candle can be something disposable such as an empty milk carton or yogurt container. Even heavy paper cups will work to make candles.
In order to pour the wax, it must be melted. Fill the pot part way with water, then put the coffee can containing the wax in the pot with the water. Carefully heat the wax until it is melted. After melting, you can add any scent you desire.
The wicks can be suspended from the dowel rods and centered over the tops of the molds. The last step is to carefully pour in the melted wax then let it cool to complete the candle.
