is drinking green and white tea, un-sweetened, analogus to drinking water?
I drink 1-2 gallons of either tea and/or water a day. Since its cold I am primarily drinking hot teas, decafe green, herbal, and white. But does this count the same as water? Or should I be drinking primarily water for the healthful benefits of flushing ones system? I guess my real question is do the teas also flush ones system like, or as well as, water?
tea green, black or white contains caffieine, though in varying amounts.thats their downside.
on the upside they contain antioxidants. Green and White teas are especially high in catechin polyphenols which are powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants provide a layer of protection for the cells and tissues of the body, and thus protect against free radical damage, which means they can delay ageing.
Antioxidant-rich food also said to prevent cancer, heart disease etc.
they do flush and detox the body, as they do contain a high amount of water, and in addition there are the added benefits of antioxidants.
the best option is to drink decaffinated green/white tea.
That apart there are teas such as peppermint, fennel chamomile etc. these ‘herbal teas’ are not really tea but flowers and herbs, which have refreshing and mild flavours and are also caffeine free. maybe you can try these too!
hope that helps!

Alice in Wonderland (Masterpiece Edition) $9.99 Walt Disney seems to have had a special affection for Lewis Carroll’s “Alice” stories. “Alice’s Wonderland” (1923), a short about a live-action little girl in a cartoon world, led to his first successful series, the “Alice” comedies (collected on Walt Disney Treasures: Disney Rarities–Celebrated Shorts, 1920s -1960s). During the early ’30s, he talked about making an animation/live-action feature … |

Tea for the Tillerman $6.32 Cat Stevens tends to be lumped in with the early-’70s singer-songwriter school led by James Taylor and Carole King, but he actually fits in rather neatly with such wistful English contemporaries as Nick Drake, Syd Barrett, and Donovan. Tea for the Tillerman’s “Wild World,” “Into White,” and “Longer Boats” indicate that he may have been a more gifted tunesmith than the lot of them. As with the best… |

Alice in Wonderland (Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection) [VHS] $3.89 Imaginatively rendered but slightly chilly, this 1951 Disney adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic is also appropriately surreal. Alice (voiced by Kathryn Beaumont) has all the anticipated experiences: shrinking and growing, meeting the White Rabbit, having tea with the Mad Hatter, etc. Characterization is very strong, and the Disney team worked hard to bring screen personality to Carroll’s ecce… |
