Easy Chemistry homework question, help!?
Ok I’ve never taking chemistry before and I have this question that I need to answers. This question is easy I just don’t know anything about chemistry. How do I do it? and what’s the answer?
-Pennies are 97.6% zinc with 2.45 copper coating. A penny has mass of 2.5g Currently.
If a penny is reacted with HC1 to remove the zinc, what will the weight of the penny be after the zinc core is removed?
Help! please!
First it is HCl (as L) not HC1 (as one). and HCl is hydrochloric acid.
Apart from that the question is maths, not science. It Simply asks what is 2.45% of 2.5g. I am sure you can do that maths. ie all the zinc is gone and only the cu is left.
